Hello there! It's been a while since my last post.
We went to visit family over the holidays, and I took a bit of an unplanned blogging hiatus. As much as I do truly love blogging, it was nice to not be on the computer a ton while we were on our trip.
We actually did a whole lot of nothing while we were there.
A lot of sitting around, talking and laughing with my husband's family, showing off Liam to the groves and groves of people who wanted to meet him. It was wonderful!
He actually did surprisingly well on the plane, (all SIX flights...we had two connections both ways!!) and with the five hour time change both ways.
Watch for a post on 'flying with baby' tips. I'll share the things that made it easier for us.
OF COURSE while we were gone, I definitely did not take a break from taking photos. (Thank God for the digital era, if it was old school and I had to get all the pictures I take of Liam developed, I would go broke!)
L-Pop:
BOY how you're growing! Boy-oh-boy!
You're amazing me more and more each day. You're becoming so much more social, and I love interacting with you. You smile A TON. I think smiling is your favorite thing to do. Last night (this morning, I mean...) at about 4 a.m., you barfed all over yourself...so I got up to change you. As we were walking down the hall to your room, we ran into daddy getting ready for work. He said hello, and you said hello back with HUGE smile. Even in the middle of the night, when you're tired and covered in barf, you are such a happy mister! Your smiles could win awards, I'm sure, or at least win hearts.
You have found your voice lately, too! I think you've realized that you can use it for more than just crying. You talk and talk and talk, and we looove listening to your random babbles. I even love looking at your lips when you coo, they make the cutest little shapes!
You got a bumbo! You've been holding your head up for over a month, and it was time to try one out. You look so cute sitting in there, like such a big boy.
This past month has been a lot of 'firsts' for you. First plane ride, first time in cold weather, first time meeting a bunch of people, first Christmas & New Year's....And you tolerated it and adjusted to it all so well!
You are such a happy, laid-back boy!
The amount that I love you gets bigger every day.
Here's a few photos from our trip:
This is how all of us felt on our flights. :)
Five Generations.
He didn't love his santa suit, it didn't stay on long.
Hope your holidays were as great as ours!
He is seriously TOO cute!!! Love all his Christmas gear too :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Vanessa! I had SO much fun shopping for Christmas/Winter stuffs!
DeleteYou and your husband are a gorgeous couple so no wonder Liam is such a cutie! I LOVE the 11 week photos in those jeans :) and I look forward to the 'flying with baby' tips post - I will be flying with Cam for the first time in April.
ReplyDeleteThanks girl!! Hey, I TOTALLY thought I saw you in Cater Kids before we left for vacay...Just from the pics on your blog, I thought I recognized you and I kicked myself for not saying something!
DeleteThose jeans in that pic are actually jeggings from the girls section at Children's Place...hahahaha!!!
You probably did see me - I was there to get a playmat for Cameron. Hate the parking and size of the store but I love the prices. This is a small island so maybe we'll run into each other again. I'm generally oblivious to other people when I'm out (I know I should fix that) so make sure you say hi :)
