One week with Liam

Liam is ONE WEEK old today!
WOW! Can I just say the cliche thing that all parents say.... I can't believe how fast this time has passed!

This week has been a whirlwind of emotions for us...becoming parents and everything that goes along with it. Sleep deprivation, realizing life is no longer your own (and being completely okay with that) and falling utterly & absolutely in love with a tiny human being.
This week, we've been peed on, pooped on, and barfed on.
We've done more baby laundry than I thought possible, and learned to never become too attached to an outfit...it will probably be changed in an hour or so.
We have laughed more than we've ever laughed....Every day this little bitty boy keeps us on our toes and laughing! Just right when we think we've got something figured out, he changes it up and throws a kink in our best-laid plans.

Though we've obviously had a few bumps (and always will!), our transition has been relatively smooth overall. We've come together as a team to tackle every hurdle we've faced, and I am so grateful for the man beside me.... I literally could not do it without him....
In addition to falling in love with my son, I've fallen more in love with my husband this week. It has been a wonderful privilege to watch him become a father.

And to think, he and I get to love this boy together for the rest of our lives...
too good, too good.

  1. HE. IS. PRECIOUS.

Oh my lord, he is an absolute little angel. I cannot believe he is already one week either (cliche, or not). Where has time gone? This makes me not even want to have my little one here. I know that time just slips right passed you. I dont want to miss anythinggggg!!!

All his little pictures are so cute, too! I love how you added the bubbles with his faves and dislikes. So cute! Bless it - "peeing on Daddy" really made me laugh.

    You look great <3

  3. Oh my sweet baby Jesus! For the love of all things precious! He is amazing and perfect and just too cute for words! Ahhhhh I remember the first week ... It wasn't too long ago for me. They grow and change too fast, soak it all in. Every bit, every day, take lots of pictures and love on that little boy. All the sleepless nights and constant peeing and pooping and loads of laundry are worth every bit of little love you get with your babe. Motherhood looks great on you!
