welcome, welcome, trimester THREE!

That's right! Last week, I turned 27 weeks and welcomed myself into my third trimester!
Since we were on vacation on the beautiful island of Kauai (our 'babymoon'....last vacation pre-baby!) I def didn't feel like spending precious moments in front of the computer blogging, so here's my 27th week pic....

And then, quicker than I knew it, I was on to week 28....I'm now SEVEN MONTHS PREGNANT!!! Man, time is flying!

(oh, btw, Keith took all these pictures with our new camera and he's verrry proud of himself... I'd say he deserves a pat on the back at least :) :) )

How far along? 28 weeks
Total weight gain: About 25 now... and apparently most women gain 11 on average during trimester 3. For the Love! Keith actually said after looking at my belly the other day.... 'I don't even see how you're going to get any bigger'. Thanks, dear. I'm still in my 'recommended' area though so I'm not that worried about it.

Maternity clothes? At work, I started out with a shirt size small. I'm now not really comfy in anything smaller than XL. Definitely had my growth spurt!

Sleep:
Still sleeping quite well!
Best moment this week:
Every day of our wonderful vacation. Also, when we got home, we decided to spend some of this week organizing our house-- cleaning out closets, finding space for the things that used to be in Liam's room, etc. etc. Well, the room used to house all my craft supplies (I have a lot....) and they've been kind of stuffed in a closet for a few months....I came home from work and Keith had 'built' me a little craft area along a wall in our laundry room! He hung shelves and organized everything! He definitely knows just what to do to make my day!
Miss Anything? Not having to pee like a mad woman! I kid you not, sometimes I pee twice in a half hour. I thought I had to pee a lot before, but this is just ridiculous!

Movement:
So active every day! At night I'll lay on my side and he'll kickity kick so much that it feels like my belly is popping a bag of popcorn.
Food cravings: Hmmm foood....let's see. Well I had lots and lots of seafood while we were on vacation....I could have eaten fish tacos every night!

Anything making you queasy or sick: Believe it or not.... COFFEE is some mornings! While we were on vacation, I nearly threw up three mornings and I am fairly positive it was from my morning coffee. Hasn't put me off enough to give it up, though.

Gender: It's a boy!

Labor Signs: Nope!

Symptoms: Still getting those darn leg cramps. One morning I was getting charley horses in my calves so bad that I actually fell down on the ground when I tried to get out of bed! WTH--who does that?! THIS GIRL!

Belly Button in or out? Out-ish

Wedding rings on or off?
Still on! Though I think my fingers have gotten maybe a tiny tiny bit fatter, I went to take the ring off to get it cleaned the other day and it was a bit tough to remove!
Happy or Moody most of the time: Yes.

Looking forward to: My shower! Just a little over a month now!

Showing? LOL. Yeah, so I had my 28 week appointment today and the midwife went to measure me. (For those that don't know, around 24 weeks you start measuring about the same as the week that you are... so 24 weeks along = about 24 cm) Well, she said I was measuring large and asked if I'd had a growth spurt... The answer is YES, I definitely have! Keith & I were looking at photos from just a month ago when Rachel was here and we can't believe the changes just since then! AAANd he's still going to probably more than double in size before we meet him.

Whaaaa...? How...??? That's going to come out of WHERE?!

Yeah, I'm trying to warm myself up the fact that after all this excitement and preparation, I still have to give birth.
ZOIKS!

  1. You are too adorable! And YES, believe it or not, that belly *will* grow even more in the next couple months! It's definitely crazy! But you are absolutely glowing {and that dress? Old Navy? One of my faves}. Keep smiling, momma! You're in the final stretch!

  2. OMG! I was think the EXACT same thing the other day, how could I possibly fit 4-6 more pounds of baby in there? It doesn't seem possible...BUT you made me feel better because the other day I went to buy more clothes and I was getting so sad that I had to get XXL :O my husband was trying to cheer me up, but it's weird seeing large sizes when you would never want to be that size when you weren't preggers.
